Frequently asked questions
How long is the free trial?
Fourteen days. No credit card required. You connect your Shopify store, eCommerce Insights runs the first full scan, and you get per-SKU scores and the first batch of PDP recommendations before the trial ends. If you do nothing at day 14, the trial lapses — we don't auto-convert.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. eCommerce Insights is month-to-month on Seed and Shelf. You can cancel from the admin at any time and keep access through the end of the billing period. Warehouse contracts are annual by default but can be negotiated to monthly on request.
What counts as an SKU?
Each Shopify product counts as one SKU against the plan limit. Variants count when they track independently — a T-shirt in five sizes is one SKU for visibility scoring unless you want the sizes tracked separately. eCommerce Insights shows live SKU count in the admin so you can see where you stand before renewing.
What happens if I exceed the SKU limit on my plan?
eCommerce Insights doesn't cut you off mid-scan. If you go over your SKU limit, eCommerce Insights continues to track the full catalog and flags the overage in the admin. You have a grace period to either add a catalog add-on (priced per 500 SKUs) or move up a tier. No surprise invoices.
Do you offer invoicing and purchase orders?
Warehouse plans ship with invoicing, purchase orders, and net-30 terms by default. Shelf plans can move to annual invoicing on request. Seed is credit card only — the plan is designed for brands that want to start the same day and don't need procurement involvement.
How long does eCommerce Insights retain my data?
Scan data is retained for 24 months on Shelf and Warehouse plans, 12 months on Seed. Cancelled accounts have 30 days to export data before deletion. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available to every customer on request and is included by default on Warehouse.
Is there a Shopify Plus add-on?
Shopify Plus capabilities — including higher-volume catalogs, multi-storefront support, and metafield-heavy schemas — are included in Shelf and Warehouse at no surcharge. Seed supports Shopify Plus stores but caps at 500 SKUs, which tends to be limiting for most Plus brands. Most Plus customers land on Shelf or Warehouse.
