It's thicker, so buttons are sunk in. But they work..Easy peasy to install.

Saved a bunch of money and it works great!.The case of my old Lexus key had broken so the key would work intermittently if I held it together just right while starting my car. I knew it wouldnt last long. My local locksmith wanted over $100 to fix my key and over $200 for a replacement key. I fixed my own key by transferring the key shaft and remote transponder to this new shell for less than $10! My car starts up as it should every time. It took some pressure to get the remote transponder into the new shell, but I was able to get it in.

Not Lexus Quality but works just fine..This is not the quality of my orginal Lexus key fob cover, but it works very well and it was easy to put together. My only negative comment is that after putting it together. On the end of the cover where the metal key comes out of, there is a small gap around the end of the cover, tightened it as much as I could with out stripping out the small screw. Cannot get it to seat flush. Also because of this the buttons sit lower in the holes, they are not raised. Still all in all for the price ($), th

Does the job, horrendous fit..While it does TECHNICALLY fit, it leaves a lot to be desired. Considering this product is just plastic and doesn't require any advanced machining, this was very disappointing. The key blade itself was a nightmare to get into the small plastic holder they provide. I heard of some people soaking it in warm water, or using lube to get the blade in. I used some WD-40 and pliers and got it with some patience. Once you put the fob/transponder in, the casing doesn't close all the way, even after I di

It will fit with persistence.Lithium grease and a vice were used to gently fit them together. One person soaked the plastic bit in hot water first. I prefer patience and lube.

Saved a couple hundred.I have had to be verrry careful with my '99 GS300's key for years because it has been cracked and falling apart and I didn't want to spend a couple hundred at the dealer to replace it. Tried the whole "replace the entie key and program it" thing, but even though programming was successful, and after cutting at the locksmith the key worked in the door, it didn't fit into the ignition! Exactly what I needed!.My Lexus key was breaking, this product did exactly what I hoped for & needed. I was able to use the metal part of my old key, place the electronics from the old case into the new case. Now everything works like a champ.
