It sounds clich for someone to say, read the reviews, but in this case absolutely read the reviews.Do yourself a huge favor before spending a single penny on this device and its OEM accessories. Over a year to get service and support AND STILL no luck. Read just a few reviews. I was massively misled by the description, manufacture, details, accessory compatibility(manufactures, OEM, side camera, and wiring harness), sellers commitment to customer service and support. Make sure you get Rexing kit with 3 wires.I made mistake in buying a kit from different supplier that only had two wires. Would not work properly. Bought the kit from Rexing a nd installed it. Camera worked great. Another issue is mounting to windscreen, I ended up making a block to move camera lens back from windscreen and angle different so I could see screen pictures clearly. (Installed on 2013 Hyundai Elantra gls, factory installed anti glare windscreen) The tinting was giving a dark picture all the time until mod block

Does not work in park mode.I got one that had mixed wires. Connecting yellow to all the time power would provide recording all the time (but would probably drain your battery in ~20-30h). I could live with that. Bigger problem was that (when I connected properly red to all the time power and yellow to ignition switch), when ignition was off this did not do anything. I could not get camera to record in park mode on any impact. Will return, just not sure if this is bad unit or product overall does not work. I suggest if you

Plan ahead.The wiring kit did not come with directions. It came with a QR code (which i despise) that takes you to a webpage that doesn't exist. A quick google search found a video explaining which wire went where and then the install went quick. AFTER I had to replace the fuse holders that came prewired. They were the wrong size for my car. Luckily I keep stock on hand and was able to splice the right holders in. The camera's manual does not cover how the parking sensor actually works, and Rexings website

Must have when your cigarette light stays on all the time.After I went to start my car to go to work and found my battery dead because my dash cam was left on for days, I figured I better get this product. It was pretty easy to install if you are comfortable working on cars and or 12v wiring. The only thing I dont like about it is that the voltage level is had set to 11.9 volts. Meaning that your car battery has to drop to 11.9 volts before this will turn off the dash cam. That is a little low for those of us in cold climates. It was 24 degrees a coupl

Mini Fuse as they said, not Micro like the other reviewer said.Worked fine. Hardest part was finding contact power and switched power fuses on the block. But even that's fairly simple if you have a multimeter. Blade fuses have test points on both pre and post sides of the fuse. Tip - that's also the easiest way to test without having to pull each fuse to visually check when troubleshooting. I keep a cheap small "pocket" multimeter in the car just in case. Did the job for me..Purchased this wiring kit as I wanted my dashcam hard wired into my car. Didn't really like the 12V plug version and it didn't look that great. The end that goes into your fuse box (fuse tap) can be removed and changed over for the correct size fuse tap that you need. Great improvement there and no need to cut wires now. Took about 20 minutes to install and tuck the wires away into the trim. I now have the parking sensor functionality available from my dashcam.

Have to have.I have used all three methods, ODB, 12 volt and hardwire, I wish I had bought this from the beginning. I thought it would neuvh harder to install. It took me about 20 minutes to run the cable and hook everything up. I now have the ability for my camera to power on once my truck is turned off. I have not had a problem with it draining my battery when my truck is not running.
