Not convinced this is a good setup.Im not convinced this product setup using the OB2 connector is a good idea. I plugged mine in and later I have check engine lights on the dash. Unplug the camera and battery, reconnect the battery and leave the camera unplugged then the indicator goes off and stays off. Reconnect the camera and the check engine is on again. This has been happening every since I installed the camera. I dont think Ring is telling us everything the camera is communicating within in the vehicles computer. Plugging a

Parking mode doesn't work.If you're buying this for the parking mode feature. Don't. That mode doesn't seem to last long. After parking, and shutting down my car. I get a ring notification after 10 minutes, saying that my Ring Dash Cam is on offline mode and doesn't want to detect until the car is turn back on. Just for the record, I drive a 2021 Toyota Prius Prime. I would expect that the Ring Dash Cam can use that plug-in hybrid battery to keep the Ring Dash Cam running. I guess not. :\

Works better than ring doorbell.LOVE this product and so happy I got it. Favorite part is that its hosted in the same app as ring doorbell. I got it because it shows front and back cameras, fun to get someones reaction after someone cuts them off!! Haha worth the money!

Not worth it.You have to pay 6 dollars a month and can access only 20 seconds of each clip. There is no other way to access the camera footage. Bad use of 200 dollars.

Im not sure yet ...Im not sure how I feel about this camera yet. Its randomly disconnected from its connection a few times. I thought this also had a rear camera, it doesnt. So if I get rear ended or side swiped, this is useless to me. I dont love that the camera automatically disconnects after some time and wont come back on until the car is on and running, makes no sense to have for security purposes as they advertise Quality is pretty decent and the setup was also quite easy. The Technology Isnt Quite There.Overall I like it but wish I had waited a few years. The camera quality isnt great, have a hard time making out license plates unless Im really close. All of the footage for download is only 20 second clips and must be sent through the cloud. I wish, while connected to WiFi, you could manage and download footage from the app. There seems to be a bug when you are trying to download footage where it says it will notify you when its available for download but never does. Yes yes yes- my favorite so far..Super happy with these units. We bought 2 from the ring site. I have used several and researched many and this one by far has the best features. Live views Cellular data Real time location Interior privacy cover Easy installation Because its installed near bottom of window its easy to hide cords with tool included. Footage is decent ( hopefully 4K one day) Motion sensor Connected to port so can turn on with motion Works with Alexa ( I personally have not used this ) Easy to view footage inside
