You've been warned!.This is not 10 gauge wire more like 12 gauge. If you need 12 gauge wire then this is good for you.

Good Standard Wire. But Mismatched gauge wires one 12 other 10.Tried to light on fire to find out if wire covering is fire retardant and it was. you can turn it black with open flame but will not continue on fire. as for the wire it is adequate for general low volt installations. the only draw back was the spools were mismatched the Red was 10G but the Black was 12G from supplier. the spools were shrink wrapped with no evidence of tampering.

With insulation and everything it might be 10 gauge but actuality it's probably closer to 16 gauge.It's worth it for the cost but do not plan on using it as 10 gauge wire
